On-Site Courses Offered
Certified Rigger Level 1
(Cal/OSHA Title 8 and Maryland Title 9 Regulations Included)
Our Certified Rigger Level 1 Course provides the necessary training to meet the OSHA standards of a Certified Rigger. This seven-hour on-site course includes classroom instruction, practical instruction, and testing. This certification is valid for three years. A certificate, wallet card, and hard hat sticker are included.
Certified Signal Person Class
Our Signal Person course provides the OSHA training necessary to signal a crane and be a designated spotter for a crane operator. This two-to-three-hour course would be held the day after the Certified Rigger Level 1 course and includes classroom and practical instruction with written and practical testing. This certification is valid for three years. A certificate, wallet card, and hard hat sticker are included.
Certified Rigger Level 2
Participants in this course must have passed our Level 1 Certified Rigging Training, Certified Crane Signal Training, and have a minimum of two years rigging experience. The course covers crane awareness and teaches the students how to help scope out the rigging project to assist in creating a lift plan and worksheets for calculating the weight and center of gravity of loads, assessing the load connection points, and managing critical lift information.
We discuss the four categories of OSHA and how they work together and alongside each other while following ASME Standards, ASME P30.1, B30.1, B30.2, B30.3, B30.5, B30.9, B30.16, B30.20, B30.23, and B30.26. This certification is valid for three years. A certificate, wallet card, and hard hat sticker are included.
Master Rigger
Participants in this one-day course must already be a Certified Rigger Level 2 and Signal Person with a minimum of two years of rigging experience. Our Master Rigger instructor will teach advanced rigging principles and methods. Riggers will learn how to tail, drift, jack, and roll a load, mutable crane lifts, and two crane lifts. This certification is valid for three years. A certificate, gold wallet card, and hard hat sticker are included.
Overhead Crane and Hoist Operator Training with Basic Rigging
This eight-hour course covers the information needed to operate overhead bridge cranes, gantry cranes, monorails, and jib cranes. It also provides the skills and knowledge needed to conduct pre-operational inspections, basic rigging to rig and lift loads, calculate load weight, and swing and control loads, along with practical rigging and crane training.
